This is a very special year for Tate Modern. We first opened our doors in May 2000, marking this year as our 25th anniversary.

We have chosen a few key artworks around the building to celebrate this moment. Select any artwork to read a personal perspective from a guest voice. Each reflection brings to mind the feelings that might be associated with a birthday, such as joy, humour, introspection, and nostalgia.

We hope you enjoy reading these viewpoints, whether you're at Tate Modern or celebrating with us from afar.
