South Tanks, Blavatnik Building, Level 0
move/005 takes inspiration from Dan Halter’s 2005 film Queen Of Rave, from Tate’s collection. Fusing footage of British 90’s rave scenes with protests from South African townships at the time, the film inspires ideas around collectivist resistance. The three films that follow feature stories from DJs Karen Nyame KG and Nia Archives. move/005 has been curated by fynn studio culminating in an exclusive two-hour DJ set from Radio 1 DJ Jaguar starting at 19.40.

Inspired by the haunted domesticities in Dorothea Tanning’s surrealist painting Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (1943) and reimagined through a contemporary lens, this poetic and intimate offering invites audiences to experience the space between dreams and reality.
